MY FAVOURITE SENTECE

"You look at that river gently flowing by. You notice the leaves rustling with the wind. You hear the birds; you hear the tree frogs. In the distance you hear a cow. You feel the grass. The mud gives a little bit on the river bank. It’s quiet; it’s peaceful. And all of a sudden, it’s a gear shift inside you. And it’s like taking a deep breath and going, 'Oh yeah, I forgot about this'. ”

MY favourite sentence is :

DID THE PLANET BETRAY US... OR DID WE BETRAY THE PLANET

THE MOVIE - AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH

The idea to document his efforts came from Laurie David who saw his presentation at a town-hall meeting on global warming.
It talks about former United States Vice President Al Gore's campaign to educate citizens about global warming via a comprehensive slide show that, by his own estimate, he has given more than a thousand times, and his travels in support of his efforts to educate the public about the severity of the climate crisis. Gore says, "I've been trying to tell this story for a long time and I feel as if I've failed to get the message across."

The reaction of Gerge Bush , president of USA 2001 -2009, was just a political issue. Bush wons in 2001 the elections
against Al Gore.

What's the movie based on? What's President Bush's reaction to it? Is it just a political issue? Are the book and documentary based on scientific basi

GLOBAL WARMING

What is the global warming?

Global warming
is the increase in the average temperature of Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation.

What will happen if global warming continues ?

If the warming gets worse, as scientists expect, there may be some kinds of plants and animals that become extinct (disappear completely) because they can’t move to new homes. There may be more storms and floods. Sea level may rise so much that people have to move away from the coasts. Some areas may become too dry for farming.

What's global warming causing?

Scientists agree that the burning of fossil fuels cause greenhouse gases to escape into the air and that these gases are causing most of the warming. Another cause is deforestation (cutting down trees). Trees soak up carbon dioxide, one of the greenhouse gases, from the air.
It’s already too late to stop global warming completely.
